All members have served at least one tour of duty in Vietnam, Vietnamese territorial waters or Vietnamese airspace and earned the Vietnam Service medal, and/or the Armed Forces Expeditionary medal.  The members represent all branches of the United States of America Armed Forces. 

In Country Motorcycle Club is a national, independent, non-profit federal tax exempt war veterans motorcycle club consisting of Vietnam combat veterans and their supporters, who share a common bond of motorcycling, and the desire and willingness to help all veterans, their families, widows and children, with financial, emotional, and personal support.

Each chapter of ICMC has a chosen veterans cause that is supported through annual fund raising events and charitable work.
